The Eight Legged Jacket Sailed Away
On 16 December 2008

The Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Co (CPOC) MUDA Processing Platform Jacket Project successfully sailed away from MMHE shore to the JDA Block B-17 field on 10 December 2008. The JDA Block B-17 field development project is located in the Thai-Malaysia Joint Development area (268km east of Songkla, Thailand or 171km north of Kota Bharu, Malaysia).

At the sail away ceremony held on 2 December 2008, Deputy CEO, Malaysia-Thai Joint Authority (MTJA), Mohd Reza Arabi said "The total man-hours recorded exceeding 800,000 hrs without LTI showed the maturity, commitment and excellent team work between MMHE and the sub-contractors." The completion of the project marks another significant achievement for Block B-17 gas development in the Joint Development Area.

MMHE General Manager Engineering and Construction, Mohamed Zaaba Abbas said that "We have always shown commitment and passion in all projects entrusted to us, ensuring excellent project management and meeting quality expectations with good HSE practices." He also expressed his appreciation to MTJA, CPOC and Petronas Carigali for entrusting MMHE to be part of an important oil and gas development.

The project completed a total of 817,739 man-hours worked with zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) and recorded 0.85% welding repair rate, surpassing the target of 1%.
